The Division Already Reportedly Has Griefers Blocking Progress
Some players have already figured out how to ruin The Division for everyone else. The game’s growing subreddit has rallied to point out that you can’t pass through other players’ avatars, even in social zones.
This has created a problem as some malefactors have decided to simply stand in doorways. This has effectively shut down progress as early as the game’s opening area.
Reddit user Hulari posted (but since removed) a post detailing the situation. We've removed the name of the player involved, as we cannot verify that he or she was responsible.
So I just started playing on the PC and there's a guy here called [NAME REMOVED] blocking the doorway into the first safe house demanding people say a password for entrance.
I was stuck there for a good 10 minutes before I managed to sprint through him as well as a couple of others.
Should probably make us able to pass through players in safehouses.
We’ve reached out to Ubisoft to get more information about this and to find out if there’s a workaround in case you run into the situation. We’ll update as we learn more.
