International Pricing and Painting App For HTC Vive Revealed

by Javy Gwaltney on Feb 28, 2016 at 11:05 AM

Last week, HTC announced the price for its virtual reality headset, the Vive: $799. HTC has just confirmed the international pricing for the unit as well as a application that will be bundled with each headset in addition to Fantastic Contraption and Job Simulator: Google's Tilt Brush.

You can find the prices for the Vive for various countries listed in the table here.

As far as Tilt Brush goes, it's an app that "lets you paint in 3D space with virtual reality." We got some hands-on time with it last year and came away impressed; you can watch Tilt Brush in action here:

Pre-orders for the headset begin tomorrow, on February 29, with HTC noting that both credit card and Paypal transactions will be accepted for the orders.

Our Take
Regardless of what you might think about the price, it's super handy for HTC to provide that much info about pricing. Also, Tilt Brush looks pretty neat.
