In the second episode of Nintendo’s retrospective for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, director Eiji Aonuma and his colleagues chat about how characters were created for the original iteration of Twilight Princess. The interviews give rare insight into the developmental process of the universally acclaimed franchise.

In the retrospective, Aonuma laughs as he recalls creating Wolf Link after having a dream about being a wolf in a jail cell, script writer Aya Kyogoku details how gameplay informs the story, and enemy designer Yoshiyuki Oyama illustrates why Zant is such a goofy enemy.
