Transfer Pokémon From Classic Titles To The Upcoming Sun And Moon Games

by Daniel Tack on Feb 26, 2016 at 03:21 AM

During today's Pokémon Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that players will be able to bring classic Pokémon from the original 151 into more recent games, including the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. This is the first time Pokémon captured in Red, Blue, and Yellow will make it to other titles.

Pokémon Sun and Moon have been announced for a Holiday 2016 release, but players will also be able to transfer Pokémon they acquire in the classic Red/Blue/Yellow rereleases (Out February 27th) to the upcoming games via the Pokémon Bank.

Players will be able to ship Pokémon from the classic trio to the newly announced titles.

Our Take
It's super cool that we'll be able to take some of our classic Pokémon out for a spin in the new titles. This is an added incentive to revisit the original games.
