Recipe Lets You Make That Gross-Looking Bread Rey Had To Eat In Star Wars: The Force Awakens

by Jeff Cork on Feb 25, 2016 at 04:04 AM

Remember in Star Wars: The Force Awakens when Rey traded scrap with Unkar Plutt for instant bread rations? It didn't look super appetizing, did it? If you're some kind of weirdo whose stomach started rumbling when you saw her chomping down on it, however, you're in luck. Someone's created a recipe for Rey's Portion Bread, and it's been sanctioned by franchise's official site.

You don't have to scavenge a wrecked Imperial Star Destroyer to fill your belly with this stuff, though you may have to make a run to the store. It requires matcha powder and cake flour, which you may or may not have handy. Once you get the ingredients rounded up, you can go from a mug of slop to some kind of green baked good after 45 seconds in the microwave. Check out the complete recipe here, and feel free to think hard about your life choices as you eat cake from a mug. Star Wars.
