There’s A Pokémon Nintendo Direct This Friday
It’s Pokémon’s 20th anniversary, and the party is probably just getting started. This Saturday sees the re-release of Red, Blue, and Yellow on 3DS, but we’ll be learning more about what’s in store just one day before.
Nintendo has announced a Direct presentation for Friday, February 26. The festivities begin at 7 a.m. Pacific / 10 a.m. Eastern.
The publisher hasn’t been specific about the content, but we suspect we’ll also see more of Pokken Tournament, which is coming to Wii U on March 18. You can tune in on Friday morning to check out the event.
Our Take
It wouldn’t surprise me for there to be a new game announcement or two. The time is right for a new 3DS installment, and Wii U fans have been clamoring for a true Pokémon game. What I wouldn’t expect to see is anything about Pokémon Go. That’s not a Nintendo project.
