Get A New Look At Fighting/RPG Hybrid Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom
Focus Home Interactive is showing off the first gameplay footage of its upcoming fighting/role-playing hybrid game, Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom. The game debuted in 2014, but not a whole lot of gameplay has been shown off until now.
In Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom, players are able to play and fight with five different characters as they explore the dangerous world of Mahera. The characters all feature unique skills and attributes to give different strengths for puzzles and fighting. The title also features full RPG progression and seamless transitions into battle.
You can check out the action-packed trailer below, which gives a good look at the combat found in the game, as well as the characters you'll encounter.

Our Take
While this game wasn't previously on my radar, its awesome manga-inspired art style has me interested in learning more. Here's hoping it can fill the Jade Empire-shaped hole that fans of martial arts RPGs have felt since that game released.
