Huge Collection Of Windows 3.1 Games Now Playable In Your Web Browser

by Kyle Hilliard on Feb 15, 2016 at 11:27 AM

More than 1,000 classic Windows 3.1 games and programs have been made available online and playable in your web browser.

You can head here to find games like Jezzball, WintTrek (seen above), WinRisk, and many, many others. The collection is the result of archivist Jason Scott and the work of volunteers who want to make sure these games remain playable at least in some form all these years later.

Many of the games are shareware titles, meaning they were shared among users openly and for free, but not every program and game is, calling in the legality of at least some of these titles being available this way. Not all of these game's have the permission of their owners to be available for free, but for many of them, this is the only way they can be experienced anymore.

Our Take
You have to respect the work of Scott and those involved. As mentioned above, many of these games would be not available to play anymore without their efforts, but don't be surprised if some of these games disappear all over again.
