[Update] Spike Chunsoft Confirms Danganronpa For PC

by Kimberley Wallace on Jan 18, 2016 at 02:27 AM

Update: Following our original story, Spike Chunsoft has responded to our request with some good news.

A representative from the company reached out to let us know that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, the first game in the series, will be out in February. If you missed the game on Vita, this is your chance to play this quirky and sinister adventure game.

Original Story (January 15, 2016 at 12:10 p.m. Central):

Spike Chunsoft is teasing that the first entry in the murderous-but-zany Danganronpa series, Trigger Happy Havoc, is coming to PC.

On the company's Twitter account, it posted:

It sure looks like a Steam release for Trigger Happy Havoc is on the way. We thought the game was pretty great; you can read the review here.

Up until this point, the series has only been available on Vita, narrowing its audience. This gives PC users a chance to finally see what it's like to get tormented by the sadistic bear named Monokuma.

Our Take:
This is a great move by Spike Chunsoft. I love the Danganronpa series, but it being available only on the Vita has limited its reach. This ensures it can captivate more people before it launches its next entry. If you enjoy a good visual novel mystery combined with the thrill of Ace Attorney trials, you should give Danganronpa a shot.
