Bayonetta 2 Will Be Available By Itself At Retail In February
Since its release in September 2014, Bayonetta 2 has been sold with a port of the original. Its price hasn’t budged much since then, but that’s about to change.
Beginning on February 19, Nintendo will begin selling Bayonetta 2 by itself. You’ll be able to pick up a boxed copy of the more recent title for $29.99. Compared to the second-hand pricing for the Bayonetta two-pack, which has sold consistently for $70 to $80 on eBay recently, this is a steal.
If you still want the double-feature, you can grab it from the eShop. It’ll cost you $49.99 at this point, just $10 less than its original selling price. But if you still have a copy of the first game and are content without the Wii U version, you won’t have long to wait for a physical copy.

Our Take
This move should make collectors happy, as they are typically riled when publishers reissue hard-to-find items. If you still want the original, a digital version is available. The best of both worlds? Very likely.
