Destiny’s Nightfall Has Been Fixed And That One Door Is Unjammed

by Mike Futter on Jan 12, 2016 at 09:20 AM

Update: This week's Nightfall strike is now working properly. Bungie says the problems have identified and fixed.

Original Story:

If you are one of the Destiny players still jumping into your weekly events on Tuesday (a.k.a. “Reset Day”), you should be aware that there’s currently a problem. Bungie is aware, and you would do well to hold off on attempting it until there’s a fix.

This week’s strike is the Sunless Cell, one of The Taken King’s additions. Approximately halfway through the strike, there is a door that is supposed to open. Behind it is an ogre and the rest of the strike. You might also notice that the early moments are devoid of enemies, also an oddity.

With the glitch, the Nightfall can’t be completed. That means your hard work getting to that point will need to be repeated once things are fixed. Bungie is aware of the problem. We’ll keep an eye on things and let you know once its safe to bring your fireteam into the fight.

Our Take
This strike isn’t new to the Nightfall rotation, but these glitches haven’t been present before. It’s unclear just what’s causing the problems, and we’re interested to hear how Bungie explains this.
