Weekend Warrior – Starting The Year Off Right

by Ben Reeves on Jan 08, 2016 at 01:00 PM

After the first week back in the office since the holiday break, we're all excited for a weekend where we can play old games and some of the other big titles we missed from 2015. What about you? Leave your weekend plans in the comments below.

Brian Shea (@BrianPShea) – I’ve been sucked back into the Witcher 3. You’ll likely never hear from me again.

Tim Turi (@timturi) – I’m in a weird place right now. With last year in the rearview mirror, I’m catching up on a game I should’ve played a long time ago: EarthBound. I’m digging the sense of humor, comfort food-like battle system, and quirky soundtrack. I also hope to dive back into Fallout 4 and continue playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time with my girlfriend!

Mike Futter (@Futterish) – This is the time of year I usually dabble in my backlog and bust out of my comfort zone. I'm not an MMO player, but I've been hooked on Star Wars: The Old Republic thanks to a friend. I'm also still playing Blood Bowl 2 in a league. This weekend I hope to also use my relatively new flight stick to return to Elite Dangerous.

Javy Gwaltney (@HurdyIV) – I'm going to be catching up on Fargo and Jessica Jones, taking breaks occasionally to play through Republic Commando A.K.A. "Oh My God This Game Is Amazing: Star Wars Edition."

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – This weekend I don't know how much time I'll have to play games. I'm hoping to play some of my 3DS, I've been meaning to play more Yo-Kai Watch and finish off Pokemon Omega Ruby once and for all. Hope you all have a good weekend!

Andrew Reiner (@Andrew_Reiner) – My strange obsession with adventure games continues with The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. I'm also hoping to finish the first season of Marvel's Agent Carter. The show is good fun and unlike anything else Marvel has done.

Matthew Kato (@MattKato) – Over the holiday break I played a lot of Fallout 4, but haven’t been back to it since. I should check in again and keep things going, but I doubt I’ll do that this weekend. I’ll probably revisit some Star Wars Pinball tables (I started up Starfighter Assault the other night and liked it, and want to try Boba Fett), so that should fulfill the “quick game” as well as “longer session” hungers.
