[Update] Second Week Of Massive Xbox Holiday Games Sale Begins

by Mike Futter on Dec 29, 2015 at 03:42 AM

The Xbox holiday sale kicks off today with two weeks of deals and daily offers. The first wave of discounts is in effect through December 28, with impressive deals on a number of great games.

While there are a huge number of offers, a few stand out as particularly compelling. Dragon Age: Inquisition Game of the Year Edition is 50 percent off (60 percent for Xbox Live Gold members). Given that all of the DLC combined is regularly $55, getting the base game and its add-on content for $24 is a great deal.

Other highlights include Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Madden NFL 16 for 50 percent off (60 percent for Xbox Live Gold members), The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Transformers Devastation for 40 percent off (50 percent for Xbox Live Gold members), and Grand Theft Auto V and Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition for 30 percent off (40 percent for Xbox Live Gold members).

You can check out the first week of deals and today’s three daily deals (including Need for Speed for 50 or 60 percent off depending on your Gold status) on Major Nelson’s website.

Update: The second week of the holiday sale has gone live. You can find all the games that are discounted here. Both the Xbox One versions of Metal Gear Solid V and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition are 30% off if you have a Gold membership (the discount drops for both games around 10 percent if you don't have the membership). Fallout 4 is 17% off for Gold members. Great games from 2014 have even bigger discounts and are pretty cheap, like Alien: Isolation and The Evil Within.
