Xbox Live Games With Gold For January Includes A New Release And Deus Ex

by Mike Futter on Dec 21, 2015 at 04:28 AM

Microsoft has announced January’s Xbox Live Games with Gold roster. One of the highlights is Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which was just added to the backward compatibility roster.

On Xbox One, you can grab Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition for the entire month of January. This includes all eight fighters from the first round, sixteen accessory packs, eight extra costumes, and 1994’s Killer Instinct Classic.

From January 16 through February 15, you can grab Zheros. It’s a new release that appears to be a throwback beat-em-up with colorful graphics. For those dragging their heels, Thief will remain available through January 15.

On Xbox 360, you can grab Dirt Showdown at the top of the month and Deus Ex: Human Revolution in the second half. Both of these are already available as part of the backward compatibility program.

Note that there is no digital listing for Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director’s Cut in the Xbox Games store. We’ve reached out to Microsoft to find out if discs carrying that edition are currently compatible with backward compatibility features.

Update: The official Deus Ex Twitter says that the Director's Cut and Missing Link DLC are not currently compatible. Microsoft is reportedly nearing a solution.
