Weekend Warrior – We Awaken The Force

by Ben Reeves on Dec 18, 2015 at 01:00 PM

There's some movie called The Force Awaken's coming out this weekend, and if we haven't already seen it we're going to see it...or going again. What are you up to this weekend?

Mike Futter (@futterish) – This weekend I hope to finish up Tales from the Borderlands, start Fallout 4, and dig into Elite Dangerous on PC with my new flight stick. I also will probably continue my Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition playthrough with my friend. That game is a whole different experience when taken as a co-op adventure.

Kyle Hilliard (@KyleMHilliard) – I went overboard and found everything in Rise of the Tomb Raider before finishing it off and have now moved onto the gif generator known as Just Cause 3. She's a little young, but I think I'm going to try and watch the original trilogy with my daughter this weekend, before her mom and I go see Episode VII.

Javy Gwaltney (@HurdyIV) – This weekend I'm gonna see a Star War and play through some more of SteamWorld Heist and Persona Q while I get settled in to my new apartment.

Jeff Marchiafava (@GIJeffM) – Like most self-respecting nerds, I’m going to go see The Force Awakens this weekend, which will allow me to break my three-day-long abstinence from the Internet. After that, it’s back to Fallout 4's irradiated wasteland, where I will continue to forgo the main mission in favor of rummaging through people’s personal belongings like a kleptomaniacal hoarder.

Andy Reiner (@Andrew_Reiner) – Having already seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens, my weekend is freed up for two things: playing video games and making fun of Minnesota Vikings fans for having a terrible football team. Both of these activities will be awesome!

Jeff Cork (@GIJeff) – This morning, I finally stomped Father Gascoigne into the ground. Our office’s Bloodborne evangelists say that now the game really opens up, and I’m excited to see what’s ahead. Of course, I only have so much time (and patience), and I’d like to play some more Until Dawn, too. Thank god the holiday break is coming, and I’ll have a little more flexibility when it comes to gaming. Life is hard, okay?!

Brian Shea (@BrianPShea) – I’ll be traveling this weekend for the holidays, so much of my gaming will be centered on handheld experiences. I plan on playing tons of classic Final Fantasy on my Vita, and some old-school Zelda on my 3DS for good measure. I’ve also always wanted to try the Binding of Isaac, so I bought that for the trip.

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – This weekend I have very few plans. I've already watched The Force Awakens, what else is there to do? I'll mostly likely play an unhealthy amount of Destiny and hope to start up The Beginner's Guide. Then there's always StarCraft II, I should really go back to that game's co-op mode. Have a good weekend!

Tim Turi (@timturi) – In a surprise twist of fate, I have put down every modern game in favor of picking up EarthBound for the SNES. I’m playing the game on m Wii U and so far having a blast with the charming music, goofy story, and comfortably simplistic battle system. I’m eager to dig in deeper.
