Microsoft has announced another 16 games available via backward compatibility on Xbox One. Since the program’s launch in November, more than 9 million hours of Xbox 360 games have been played on Xbox One.
Including this month’s Games with Gold titles (Sacred 3, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, and CastleStorm), there are more than 125 games available via the program. The full list of new additions follows:
- Braid
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution
- Doritos Crash Course
- Fable III
- Halo: Reach
- Hydro Thunder
- Iron Brigade
- Kane & Lynch 2
- Motocross Madness
- MS.PAC-MAN
- Peggle
- Portal: Still Alive
- Spelunky
- Splosion Man
- Ticket to Ride
- Zuma's Revenge!
Moving forward, Microsoft plans to update the backward compatibility list on a regular basis. Each month’s Xbox 360 Games with Gold offerings are automatically playable on Xbox One, also.
We are still waiting on a few confirmed titles. These include Call of Duty: Black Ops, BioShock, BioShock Infinite, and Halo Wars. Interested in voting for new backward compatibility games? You can do so right here.

Our Take
Backward Compatibility was one of the biggest surprises Microsoft delivered at E3, and the company appears to be making a real go of building the library. My fingers are tightly crossed that they find the solution for the multi-disc game problem so we can start playing games like Mass Effect 3 on Xbox One.
