A Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Has Been Submitted To Lego Ideas, And It Is Badass

by Mike Futter on Dec 09, 2015 at 01:39 AM

It took Hasan Kabalak three months of design, procurement, and building to make his Lego Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile a reality. And now he wants you to be able to build one, too.

The designer has submitted the idea for the Dark Knight’s ride to Lego Ideas, the community-driven system that has yielded the Back to the Future Delorean and Ghostbusters Ecto-1 kits. Kabalak wasn’t content to simply create a static model, though.

He spent the time to ensure that one of the Arkham Knight Batmobile’s most important features, Battle Mode, is part of the design. The wheels swivel out, immobilizer missiles emerge, and the 60mm cannon can be lifted up.

Additionally, he’s modeled in all of the upgrades obtained throughout the game. The design features a claw and sonar upgrade. It also has the passenger “containment unit” on the rear.

The result is 4,640 Lego pieces (and a custom Scarecrow minifigure) coming together as one badass car. You may not love the Batmobile in Arkham Knight (we’re torn), but you can’t deny the impressive work that went into this.

You can vote for this design on the Lego Ideas website. If it reaches 10,000, Lego will consider it for mass production.
