PSA: PlayStation 4 Multiplayer Is Free For Those Without Plus This Weekend
If you are a new PlayStation 4 owner (and according to Sony, there are a number of you), you might not have decided to sign up for PlayStation Plus yet. If not, that means you won’t be able to play online with friends.
Sony is giving those without the premium service a chance to sample online multiplayer this weekend. The free weekend runs from Friday, December 11 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific / 3:01 a.m. Eastern, through Sunday, December 13, at 11:59 Pacific (That’s 2:59 a.m. Eastern on December 14).
Multiplayer is one of the key components of the PlayStation Plus service. The other comes in the form of a monthly slate of games that require continued membership to access and additional discounts on purchases.
