Team Ninja Channels Dark Souls In First Trailer For Ni-Oh
Team Ninja's latest has surprising ties to the late Japanese filmmaker, Akira Kurosawa, and looks a bit like the studio's take on a Dark Souls-style game.
You can check out the trailer below which has slow-moving, purposeful combat, looks difficult, and is very dark. The game has actually been in production for some time and is based on an unfinished script by the aforementioned Kurosawa. It was, at one time, slated for release in 2006, but obviously that date came and went almost a decade ago.
Team Ninja is known predominantly for the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series. Ni-Oh is a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
