Weekend Warrior 12/4/2015

by Marcus Stewart on Dec 04, 2015 at 01:00 PM

It’s December, meaning that only a few weekends remain in 2015. Needless to say, we'll be spending all of them playing video games. This weekend in particular sees us diving into titles like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Undertale, and Fallout 4. We're also gearing up for whatever announcements spill out of PSX on Saturday. Share your weekend plans in the comments!

Tim Turi (@TimTuri) – I’m dedicated to gearing up for the cold weather and embarking on an adventure. No, I’m not talking about bounding about in the brutal Minnesota winters, I mean joining Lara Croft for more of her story in Rise of the Tomb Raider. The game is wonderful.

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – It's Friday already? Oh man. Well tonight I'm going to watch the "despecialized" edition of A New Hope and am very excited about it, check out those fan-made HD versions if you are interested. I'm also falling deep down the Destiny wormhole, so I'm hoping to play an unhealthy amount of that this weekend and finally get around to those raids I've been putting off. Outside of that, I should really finish up Rise of the Tomb Raider. I'm 20% in and need to give it a big, long session. Have a good weekend!

Marcus Stewart (@MarcusStewart7) – Fallout 4 was benched last week in order to wrap up more digestible titles like Lara Croft Go and Super Time Force Ultra. The itch of the Commonwealth is back in full force, so that’s what my weekend largely entails. Snow has fallen in Minneapolis, and this Florida native may spend that time crossing off winter-themed bucket list items like building a snowman, re-enacting the Battle of Hoth alone in some park (don’t judge me), and getting my tongue stuck to something frozen, leading me to regret previous life decisions. Enjoy your weekend!

Jeff Cork (@GIJeff) – Tim’s coming over this weekend to give me a guided tour of Bloodborne. I’ve been meaning to play it for a while, but I’ve never gotten around to it. Having him show me the ropes is probably the best way to get on board, or at least to make my fridge a few beers lighter. I might try and check out Undertale, too. I bought it the other day, and I’m curious to see if I fall on the Dan or Mike end of the spectrum. From what I played (30 minutes or so), it taps into Tack’s deep appreciation of dank memes. Beyond that, I haven’t hit on what makes it special. Yet

Parker Lemke(@ParkerLemke) – I need to figure out why my PC installation of Fallout 4 won’t launch when I tell it to. My wasteland adventure must continue!

Joseph Knoop (@JosephKnoop) – I’m making an attempt to do less quick traveling in Fallout 4. The Commonwealth is just too pretty, and Boston is just too dense to ignore every nook and cranny. In other news, I’ll be attempting to wrap up the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Hearts of Stone DLC. I may or may not have shouted in glee throughout the Game Informer office when Witcher 3 won Game of the Year from Geoff Keighley’s Game Awards last night.
