EA Salutes Star Wars Battlefront Players With Free Emote

by Mike Futter on Dec 03, 2015 at 06:46 AM

EA is incentivizing Star Wars Battlefront players to sign up for promotional emails with a free in-game emote. Similar to Destiny’s dances, emotes give players a way to communicate with friends and taunt enemies.

In order to get the salute emote, all you need do is sign up on the Battlefront landing page. You’ll unlock the salute for any platform you’ve connected to your EA account, so if you happen to be playing in multiple places, you don’t need to choose.

This week also saw the release of the free The Force Awakens-inspired Jakku maps for pre-order players. Everyone else will get in on December 8. You can check out our Test Chamber featuring then new maps and Turning Point mode.

Our Take
I rarely see people using the emotes in games, unfortunately. Some of them are pretty clever, but if you’re considering spending your earned credits on them, save this group of items for last. Focus on blasters and star cards first.
