Become a Beast Master In New Far Cry: Primal Footage

Far Cry: Primal made an appearance at The Game Awards Thursday night. New footage showed off just how players will combat enemies in a world without firearms, and it’s pretty beastly.

Players can make use of multiple animals of different species to distract and kill enemies, including bears, sabretooth tigers, and wolves. Eagles are also a likely option, judging from the protagonist’s use of a bird call.

Certain animals also appear to act as rideable support, with the protagonist seen riding a sabretooth tiger into battle. It may not be all beast master mode, though, as various animals are also seen threatening each other. Check out our previous coverage of Far Cry: Primal here.
