Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain sort of has two endings, as well as a third one that was cut. Now Konami has confirmed that another ending-like event can be obtained, but it's going to require an improbable amount of community cooperation.

The scene involves disarming the nuclear weapons that players may have developed during post-game play. According to Konami, players must satisfy four conditions. When met, a special scene about nuclear disarmament will trigger when you return to Mother Base.

1. You must have completed Mission 31.
2. You must not own or be currently developing a nuclear weapon. If you have any nukes in stock, you must dismantle them.
3. Certain conditions related to nuclear proliferation must be met on the regional server for your corresponding gaming platform (PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, Xbox One, Xbox 360®, PC).
4. All nuclear weapons on the regional server corresponding to your console or platform must have been dismantled. In other words, the amount of nukes on your platform's server must be equal to 0.

Basically, this means that everyone who owns a nuke on the regional server for your platform of choice needs to disarm. Konami has said via Twitter that the numbers look like this as of Nov. 29:

PS3: 140
Xbox One: 52
Xbox 360: 35
Steam: 11473

Good luck. You're going to need it.

Our Take
On one hand, this is a neat way to get the community to work together toward a common goal. However, most of the incentive behind the effort has been drained, considering that the cutscene you see as a result of meeting the conditions was found shortly after release, and has been available for viewing since.
