Telltale Confirms It's Working On Game Of Thrones Season 2

by Ben Reeves on Nov 20, 2015 at 04:31 AM

News you already knew: Telltale’s first season based on HBO’s Game of Thrones just ended, but the company is already working on a second season.

The first season of Game of Thrones might have ended in a cliffhanger, but our own Andrew Reiner thought the games was still worth playing for fans.

Fortunately, fans have more to look forward to. Telltale's CEO and co-founder Kevin Bruner recently told The Hollywood Reporter, “When we initially announced the series in 2013, we let everyone know this would be a multi-title, multiyear partnership with HBO. After this week's finale, I'm pleased to officially confirm that there will be a second season of Telltale's Game of Thrones series, and that it's currently in development. The questions left on the table at the conclusion of season one, who survived and who didn't, as well as all the other choices you made play a huge role in the second season. We've been planning the second season all along, but I really shouldn't be revealing more than that.”

Our Take
This isn't surprising, but it's good news for fans. However, I do hope that Telltale ups the ante a little bit for the next season of the game. It seems pretty unanimous that people are growing tired of their formula, so hopefully the company finds new ways to spice things up.
