Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Gets Release Window And Storybook Edition

by Marcus Stewart on Nov 18, 2015 at 10:24 AM

Today, Atlus dropped some news on Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, the upcoming remake of Vanillaware’s PlayStation 2 action-RPG. The title ships to North America in spring 2016 and is accompanied by a special Storybook Edition.

The package comes with a 64-page art book, a yet-to-be-specified art print, potion recipe t-shirt, metal slipcase, and a premium, art-laden outer box to contain it all. Quantities of Storybook Editions are limited and run for $79.99. Unfortunately for PS3 and Vita owners, this edition is only available for the PS4 version. Check it out below.

Those unable to secure the Storybook Edition may find solace in a soft-cover 64-page art book. Purchasing any of the three standard editions of Odin Sphere Leifthrasier (at participating retailers) nets you the art tome posted below. These non-premium editions cost $59.99 (PS4), $49.99 (PS3), and $39.99 (Vita).

Our Take
I enjoyed Odin Sphere back in 2007, so the remake has my attention. Not knowing exactly what one of the pieces in the Storybook Edition is a little annoying, but it's an impressive package overall. Odin Sphere's attractive art direction makes the art book especially appealing. It's also nice that PS3 and Vita owners aren't completely left out to dry with their own art tome.
