Terry Cavanagh's hard to play, even harder to put down 2012 mobile hit, Super Hexagon, recently receieved a free 2.0 update.

The 2.0 update gives the game a new engine which makes it run smoother, and look a lot sharper. The game now has retina display support on iOS and runs at 60 FPS. It's unclear if the update is heading to other platforms like Android at this time.

Our Take
I got into some furious high-score battling with Game Informer editors shortly after the release of Super Hexagon. For a brief shining moment, I even held the highest, until former editor Dan Ryckert and Tim Turi quickly bested me. It was a wonderful couple of hours and I will always remember it fondly. Now seems like a great time to revisit the game.
