Weekend Warrior 10/23/15
There's way too much open-world gaming to explore, but that doesn't stop the Game Informer staff from cutting their teeth on new releases and back catalogs. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is poised to bring out the 'guv'nor' in all of us, Metal Gear Solid V still haunts our dreams, and your faithful interns will, as always, be forcing editors to share their mutual love of Ultimate Muscle.

Tim Turi (@timturi) – I don’t know how this happened, but I like Destiny now. The Taken King expansion’s meaningful tweaks to progression and quest tracking has me hooked, and I’ve been having a great time honing my skills with the Hand cannon. I’ll do all this while trying to resist the siren call of Ultimate Muscle, a ridiculous and stupidly funny anime GI interns Joseph Knoop and Marcus Stewart turned me onto. Oh yeah, and more Yoshi’s Woolly World!
Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – This weekend I'm hoping to continue my embarrassingly long trek through Metal Gear Solid V. I'm also hoping to play more Rock Band 4 and Yoshi's Woolly World. We'll see how it all goes, have a good weekend!
Brian Shea (@BrianPShea) – I’ll be pretty busy this weekend, but in my downtime I’ll be trying to inch closer to a Yoshi’s Woolly World 100% (I beat it last night) and playing Guitar Hero Live and Rock Band 4. I also have Zelda: Tri Force Heroes on my plate and am contemplating picking up Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. I’m never catching up on my 2015 backlog, am I?
Mike Futter (@futterish) – I’ve been wandering like a lost soul recently, cleaning up bits and piece of my backlog. I will probably play more Life is Strange this weekend and Lego Marvel Super Heroes. I’ve been peppering in some Halo: CE Anniversary from The Master Chief Collection, so might end up playing more Halo before next week’s release.
Joseph Knoop (@JosephKnoop) – I'm beginning a new experiment with Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone. Namely, I'll be walking everywhere. Not sprinting, not jogging, but a gentle saunter. Hopefully it produces some interesting results. I also just happened to complete Emily Is Away, an incredibly indie game about AOL IM'ing that I'll be recommending to anyone who'll listen. Then it's back to Destiny: The Taken King, because the grind knows no end. Oh, and we'll also be roping as many editors as we can into watching Ultimate Muscle, the greatest cartoon ever made.
Marcus Stewart (@MarcusStewart7) – I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the Witcher 3 tunnel–hopefully I’ll bask in the light of completion this weekend. The foursome of Downwell, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, and The Talos Principle all vie for my attention as well. WWE’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view is Sunday night, so I’ll be praying Undertaker doesn’t actually die against Lesnar and that Big Show doesn’t answer Cena’s US open challenge. Anyone but you, Show.
