[Update] Battleborn Closed Technical Tests Start On October 29
Update: For those hoping to be part of the Battleborn technical tests, we have some new details. The first test will take place on October 29.
Sign-ups are still open on Gearbox's website. Those that participate will be under NDA, so there won't be a flood of streams or chatter about what's on display.
Pay attention, Gearbox fans! The developer is opening up sign-ups for an upcoming Closed Technical Test for Battleborn as long as you've signed up for a free Shift account, a colorful first-person multiplayer game that pits teams of eclectic heroes against one another. We've got your details right here, including which platforms will be supported and what the PC specs are for the early test build.
The Battleborn technical test aims to help Gearbox balance the 25 playable characters, test the servers, and polish the game in preparation for a February 9 release date. The test will be open to all platforms the game is destined for: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you're a PC player, here are the specs you'll need to run the test build:
- OS: Windows 7 x64-Bit or Later
- Processor: Intel Core2 Extreme CPU Q6850/ AMD A8-3870k (Quad Core CPU’s)
- Memory: 6 GB
- Hard Disk Space: 70 GB free
- Video Memory: 2 GB
- Video Card: AMD HD 7700/ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or better, PhysX support
- Sound: DirectX 11 Compliant
Battleborn is a big departure from Gearbox's successful Borderlands series, so this early technical test could be a great opportunity for dedicated fans to get see what they think about the new game before next year.
