Dark Souls 3's Online PS4 Beta Is Ready For Download

Did you to sign up for the Dark Souls III beta back on September 18? The application window is closed now, but Bandai Namco is letting fans download the beta onto their PlayStation 4s before they even learn whether or not they've been accepted into the stress test pool.

According to a post on the PlayStation Store website, the stress test aims to put the servers through their paces, offer feedback to From Software for balancing, and test multiplayer. You'll also need a PlayStation Plus account to be able to take part in the beta. 

The beta test will run from October 16-18, and Dark Souls fans who registered will learn if they're getting om October 12 or 13. Dark Souls III launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC March 24.

Our Take
Having played a bunch of Dark Souls III during our cover story trip to From Software in Japan, I'm excited to see more impressions of the game floating out there. I've been having a blast playing through the first Dark Souls on Chronicles, and it's only getting me more excited for Dark Souls III.
