Reader Discussion: What's The Most Expensive Game In Your Collection?

Most video games hit the market at a reasonable price, but the effects of time, scarcity, and desire often change a games resale value. Have you ever bought a game for a premium price years after it's initial release?

I'm not a huge collector like I used to be, but I still own a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Sega Saturn, which sells for upwards of $400 on eBay today. I bought it for only $50 when the game first release. I have another friend who snagged a still-sealed copy of Super Metroid for only $20 several years ago. What about you? Do you have any gaming gems that are worth a fair amount of money? What's the most you've ever payed for a game?
