You’ll Be Able To Remap Buttons On All Xbox One Controllers Soon
Microsoft’s $150 Xbox One Elite controller features a number of features not found on the standard models. You’ll be able to change the thumbsticks and D-Pad, add rear paddles (like Scuf’s controllers), and tune your triggers for faster firing in first-person shooters. It’ll also let you remap your buttons.
It turns out that the latter of these functions won’t be limited to the new peripherals. In response to a fan question, Xbox partner director of program management for Xbox and Windows Mike Ybarra has some good news.
@StavEllis @XboxP3 It’s coming for all controllers soon.

Our Take
There aren’t many instances in which I feel the need to remap controls, but having the option is a good thing. Perhaps I’ll finally be able to move functions off the R3 and L3 buttons where I accidentally click them all the time. Yes. I’m a clencher.
