River City Ransom Now Available On Wii U Virtual Console

The NES beat 'em up classic, River City Ransom, is now available on Wii U Virtual Console.

You can now take your stocky heroes, Alex and Ryan, and battle a collection of stocky villains to free River City from Slick and save Ryan's girlfriend, Cyndi, on the Wii U. The game is $4.99 – the NES Virtual Console standard.

Our Take
There is a fair bit of affection for River City Ransom, as it was an early innovator in the cooperative beat 'em up genre. I'm glad to see it make its way to Wii U.
