Konami Announces New DLC For MGS V: The Phantom Pain
During a stage presentation at this year's Tokyo Game Show, Konami revealed plans for some DLC for the recently released Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It doesn't contain any cut content or other improvements; instead, there are new costumes.
The new gear includes outfits MGS 3 fans will find familiar, including jungle fatigues and an old-school sneaking suit. A tuxedo (typically a post-game unlockable in other entries) is also part of the package. Female soldiers will be able to wear suits based on the designs of The Boss and Eva. Even D-Horse gets in on the action with some new armor.
Given that several of the new suits are inspired by Metal Gear Solid 3, it's possible that future DLC packs would feature gear drawn from other games in the series.
No price or release date has been announced.

I have mixed feelings about this plan. On one hand, I like idea of equipping the new gear. On the other hand, it stings to see these minimal additions being made rather than extra story-related content that could make the game's narrative more conclusive or satisfying. I know no one likes paying for stuff they feel should have been included in the first place, but in this case, I'd rather buy DLC than not have it at all.
