The Nintendo 64 is getting more real-estate on the Wii U's Virtual Console. A formerly Famicon disc exclusive title, VS. Excitebike, also released this week.

Released in 1999 on the Nintendo 64, Mario Golf was not Nintendo's first golf title, but it was the first one to take full advantage of Mario's name. VS. Excitebike is the Famicon disk version of Excitebike and adds two-player split-screen, new tracks, and a new soundtrack. It has never been available in North America until this week.

Our Take
Mario Golf's character models are looking pretty rough. It's an odd step back from even Super Mario 64, which launched alongside the Nintendo 64.
