World of Warships, younger brother to World of Tanks and Warplanes, is graduating into a full game later this month.

Starting September 17, World of Warships will no longer be in open beta, and will be considered a fully released game. As an open beta, the game already boasts two million players playing an average of three hours a day. At launch, players will have four distinct classes of warships to choose from, including the battleship Yamato and aircraft carrier Midway. U.S. and Japanese tech trees will also be available at launch.

Our Take
I spent a fair bit of time with World of Tanks on Xbox 360 and enjoyed my time. It's a good series with a healthy community, and I imagine Warships will keep things going strong.
