Witness Mad Max Payne - A Mash Up Of Fury Road With Painkillers And Noir Angst

by Mike Futter on Sep 01, 2015 at 04:50 AM

Today marks the release of Mad Max: Fury Road on Blu-ray, for those of you who didn’t jump on the early digital distribution. While it’s definitely the Mad Max experience that will lead the way today, it isn’t the only one.

Last night we posted our review of Mad Max from Avalanche and WB Games. Today, we bring you a fan film from Zapruder Pictures.

The small YouTube channel has made a splash with previous efforts, including films set in the worlds of Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, and Max Payne’s New York City. Unlike the past effort set in the bleakness of Remedy’s Noir York, Mad Max Payne mimics the style of Max Payne 3.

It’s short, but it most certainly gets the point across. With this fall’s packed release schedule getting under way, expect that great fan films won’t be in short supply.
