Xbox One and PC owners can spend Labor Day weekend playing Turtle Rock's 4v1 shooter for free.

PC players can begin playing Evolve for free at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday (September 3) and have until 10:00 a.m. on Monday (September 7) before the event ends. Xbox One users have a more limited time frame: The fun starts at 12:01 a.m. on Friday and runs until 11:59 p.m. on September 6. All times are listed in Pacific.

Turtle Rock will also be rotating Evolve's DLC into the mix throughout the event; players can check out the first "season" of DLC all day Friday, followed by the second season of offerings on Saturday. The free DLC will be available to owners of the game as well, including PS4 owners.

The free weekend will also introduce a new variant on Goliath, dubbed Meteor Goliath. The new version of the monster has faster and more powerful attacks that can light hunters on fire. Meteor Goliath will be permanently free for all players starting on Thursday. Learn more about the event and Meteor Goliath at Evolve's official home page.
