Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow Producer Joins Mobile Developer Fish In A Bottle

by Kyle Hilliard on Aug 27, 2015 at 01:28 PM

David Cox, producer on the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow games, left Konami last year, and now we know where he has landed.

Cox announced today that he has joined Fish in a Bottle studios, a developer primarily focused on mobile games. The studio is partnered with companies like Disney and Nickelodeon and has worked franchises like Spongebob Square Pants, Star Wars, Peppa Pig, Scooby Doo, and Phineas and Ferb among others. As to why Cox decided to join the studio he writes, "I joined Fish in a Bottle because they are a development studio with big ambitions to grow in delivering core games services to the market."

For more on Cox, you can read a pair of interviews with him when he was working on the Lords of Shadow series here and here.

Our Take
It's an odd move, going from a studio working on a very violent and dark game series to a studio that has worked with arguably better known, but less mature properties. I suppose you can only work in the darkness for so long though before you crave some levity.
