Rockstar Editor Is Headed To PS4 And Xbox One Soon
Rockstar hid a bit of news in its announcement for the Ill Gotten Gains filmmaking contest. The PC version’s baked-in editor is coming to current-gen consoles soon.
The developer says that the next update to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will include the video editor. There are no specifics yet about when that will be or if it will be as fully featured as the PC version.
However, Rockstar does suggest you get comfortable with the editor when it launches. Another film contest is on the way for all three platforms.

I’m surprised Rockstar didn’t make a bigger deal of this, as it's been relatively quite since the May announcement that this was in the works. While both consoles do have rudimentary video editing features (and photo modes are becoming common), a game-based editing suite is a big step for consoles. I’m eager to see what a new crop of creators comes up with.
