Team Meat's Edmund McMillen Launches Strange New Game, Fingered
Edmund McMillen may or may not be working on Super Meat Boy 2, but you don't have to wait any longer for another dose of his charmingly bizarre humor.
McMillen's latest game, Fingered, launched on Steam yesterday, and only costs $1.87. McMillen describes Fingered as "a randomly generated game of Guess Who meets Papers, Please," which tasks players with correctly identifying criminals in a police line-up and sending them to the electric chair (coincidentally, you will also finger the switch to the chair). The criminals are randomly generated, though the game's Steam page states that there are "loads of secret celebs to murder" as well. Fingered is currently ranked "Very Positive" on Steam, based on 178 user reviews. Check out the trailer below, which might give you a better idea of what Fingered is all about, or at least the sense of humor McMillen is aiming for.
Our Take
McMillen continues to
experiment with strange game concepts, and I for one couldn't be happier. His
latest creation certainly sports a unique premise, and while its sophomoric
sense of humor might not be for everyone, I can't help but give it a try.
