Rodea The Sky Soldier Release Date Delayed Again

by Christian Belland on Aug 11, 2015 at 11:45 AM

Pushed back for a second time this summer, NIS has given Rodea the Sky Soldier a new November 10 release date. Back in June, the original September 22 release date was delayed to October 13. Today, NIS cited "ongoing technical difficulties," saying the release date was bumped "in order to give players the best experience possible."

NIS also clarified the bonuses fans will receive for picking up the game early. The Launch Edition of the 3DS version will be packaged with a soundtrack in a collectible box, but only in North America. For both Europe and North America, the "first print copies" of the Wii U version will come with the unreleased original Wii version of Rodea the Sky Soldier and a reversible game cover.

3DS and Wii U versions of Rodea the Sky Soldier will be available digitally on the Nintendo eShop as well. For more on the game, you can read our preview.

Our Take
Getting delayed twice in such a short span of time isn't the best sign for any game, but it's ultimately preferable to shipping an unpolished product. That said, waiting another month is a small inconvenience as long as NIS makes good use of the extra time.
