Free Gears Of War Games With Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
Gears of War fans purchasing the upcoming Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will get a nice gift: access to Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3, and Gears of War: Judgment for free via backwards compatibility.
Although the additional games aren't remastered like Ultimate Edition is for Xbox One, they'll at least be playable for those who don't already own them. Players will get access to the games if they play the Ultimate Edition on Xbox Live from when it releases on August 25 until the end of 2015.
Naturally, these Gears games support backwards compatibility when the Ultimate Edition comes out this fall and Microsoft ramps up its program to support some past Xbox games on Xbox One.
The original Gears of War is currently available via backwards compatibility for Xbox preview program members.

I imagine the window is short to spur sales during the holiday season, but given that people still buy holiday products after the turn of the new year, the window for the giveaway seems a little short.
