Dying Light Expansion To Feature Drivable Dune Buggies

by Hershall Cook on Jul 29, 2015 at 09:33 AM

Last week, Dying Light's YouTube channel posted a video highlighting all of the content developer Techland has added to the series. Over the the course of half a year, Techland has added stylish outfits, hard mode, golden weapons, one time events, and more. After the recap finished, the video's conclusion teased drivable dune buggies.

These all-terrain vehicles will appear in Dying Light: The Following. According to producer Tymon Smektala, this upcoming downloadable content adds, "a number of bold game-changers to create one massive expansion." Smektala also discusses map size, stating the map of The Following equals all the previous maps combined.

Dying Light owners who purchased a season pass are in luck, as this expansion will be free for season pass owners. The expansion will also be available for purchase separately. No release date or price has been announced.

Our Take
Dying Light's emphasis on parkour forces the environments to be dense and focused on vertical movement, but adding drivable vehicles has the potential to fundamentally affect how the game is played. I'm excited to get my hands on this expansion, and I'm looking forward to seeing whether Techland has any more curveballs to throw.
