Devil's Third Still Being Published By Nintendo On Wii U

by Brian Shea on Jul 20, 2015 at 03:57 PM

After rumors circulated that Nintendo was dropping its publishing of Valhalla Games' Devil's Third on Wii U over quality concerns, Nintendo has confirmed that it will, in fact, be publishing the title in North America for its most recent console during quarter four of this year.

In addition, Nintendo has confirmed that developer Valhalla Games will retain publishing responsibilities for the standalone PC version. The Wii U version features a full multiplayer suite, as well as a story-driven single-player mode, while the PC version will offer a "free-to-start" version with "a multiplayer experience tailored to the platform."

Devil's Third is the latest title from developer Tomonobu Itagaki and features violent, third-person action that combines military-style combat with ninja-like swordplay. Wii U owners can pick up Devil's Third at retailer or through the eShop quarter four of 2015.

Our Take
It's great to see Nintendo finally getting rid of any doubt following the rumors and a cryptic tweet. We'll look forward to learning more about Devil's Third and its Wii U release soon.
