See The Making Of Our Tacoma Cover

by Kimberley Wallace on Jul 09, 2015 at 06:28 AM

Our latest cover is devoted to Fullbright's upcoming sci-fi exploration game, Tacoma. A lot of work went into getting the cover just right for its debut.

Fullbright recently posted a blog detailing how the cover came together, including early concepts and inspirations. The cover was designed by Rebecca Mock, and the blog shows off some of her first ideas and illustrations, and discusses how she worked with Fullbright to get the essence of Tacoma.

The blog states: "We wanted Amy front and center, floating in microgravity while some holographic icons floated around her, almost implying something like a religious icon. Further, to emphasize the otherworldliness of the environment, we wanted Amy to be right-side-up in relation to the camera, but for the background to be upside-down, subtly implying a few things about just what direction “up” is in space."

It's fascinating to see how the final product came together. Be sure to check it out for yourself at Fullbright's Blog.
