Mega Man Legends-Inspired 'Red Ash' Kickstarter Off To A Slow Start
With 27 days left to go, Comcept's Red Ash still has plenty of time to hit its Kickstarter goal – but it hasn't been as hot out of the gates as the highly anticipated Mighty No. 9.
Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune and Comcept have teased what looks like a spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends with Red Ash, but at $258,000 or so of its $800,000 goal in two days, it still has a ways to go. For some context, Mighty No. 9 raised over $950,000 in its first day!

There are a lot of factors that may go into explaining the more stable fund acquisition for this game. It could be that the announcement took place during a holiday weekend, but I'd wager that some of the hesitation comes from the fact that Mighty No. 9 still hasn't launched. It's awesome to keep more projects on deck and have new games ready to go, but I think people are waiting to see if the mighty one lives up to expectations – while getting set up for the next big project might make a lot of sense from the development side, the consumers have yet to see a final product come from their first outpouring of financial support. Let's see what happens...
