Lego Lord Of The Rings Tower Stands Over 8 Feet, Consists Of 75,000 Bricks
We may be witnessing the first shot fired in a King of Kong-like battle between Lego builders who are determined to build the largest model of The Lord of the Rings' Tower of Orthanc. In 2011, Lego team, TheOneLug, constructed a version of this black obelisk that stretched seven feet in height.
News hitting Game Informer's inbox today shows builder Brendan M has eclipsed this impressive height with a eight-foot nine-inch tower of his own. This impressive build features modeled interiors and consists of 75,000 bricks. The landscaping around the tower consists of another 15,000 to 20,000 bricks. Brendan spent almost a full year working on this model. You can view dozens of additional photos of it on Brendan's Flickr feed.
