Weekend Warrior 06/12/2015

by Christian Belland on Jun 12, 2015 at 10:54 AM

E3 2015 is just a weekend away, but we're still finding time to play some video games. It looks like The Witcher 3 is still dominating. Mobile games like You Must Build A Boat seem to be the perfect travel companion as our team flies out to sunny Los Angeles.

What are you playing this weekend in the lead up to E3? Let us know in the comments below!

Jeff Cork (@GIJeff): I'm still chugging along in The Witcher 3 and having a great time. I haven't left Velen yet, and I've put about 48 hours into it by now. I love to explore in games, and CD Projekt Red has made a world that's perfect for that. I'll leave Velen once I uncover every undiscovered location. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself...

Tim Turi (@TimTuri): This weekend I’m prepping to leave for E3, so spare time may be scarce. I plan to fill those fleeting gaps with as much Witcher 3 as possible. I have a monster-hunt quest all queued up, which have been my favorites so far, so I’m excited for that. I’ll likely continue to fill even smaller crevices of time with You Must Build A Boat. I just need to find that Wavewood Bow!

Brian Shea (@BrianPShea): Even though I’ll be spending most of my weekend getting ready for and traveling to E3, I’ll probably squeeze in a few Splatoon matches, plus a few hours each of The Witcher 3 and MLB 15: The Show. While I’m flying, I’ll probably play You Must Build a Boat, Puzzle & Dragons, and Majora’s Mask. I also downloaded a ton of games on my work laptop for the road.

Ben Hanson (@yozetty): This weekend is going to be way too busy for much game time. I'm hopefully going to play some arcade games at my lake lot and some Puzzle & Dragons on the plane out to E3! Also, I'm going to my 10-year high-school reunion this Saturday, so that should be a fun and potentially weird time. Have a good weekend!

Jeff Marchiafava (@GIJeffM): I’m hoping to make some more headway in The Witcher 3 over the next couple days, but let’s be honest: The most important game this weekend is going to be Sunday night’s unveiling of Fallout 4. Here’s hoping Bethesda has some awesome reveals and info lined up. Shameless plug: We’ll be livestreaming the event, so tune in and watch it with us!

Alissa McAloon (@Gliitchy): Right now, the plan is to sit down and catch up on all of Telltale’s Game of Thrones episodes I’ve neglected, but truth be told I’ll probably get halfway through episode two and decide to hop back on Destiny until Monday. The Trials of Osiris armor prize this weekend is a helmet, and that thing would look so very pretty on my Warlock.

Hershall Cook (@HershallCook): This weekend I look forward to playing The Witcher 3 as well. The open world has a ton of options, but my heart is having the hardest time. Triss or Yennefer? Triss or Yennefer? How could I ever choose between them?
