Report: Dark Souls III Promotional Image Surfaces
The evidence that Dark Souls III is happening continues to mount. The latest piece of the puzzle is a promotional image bearing a release window of "early 2016."
IGN reported the image, indicating that was able to verify its authenticity, labeling it as "official." An identical image (above) and another with the logo and company credits (below) were provided to Game Informer, though we are unable to secure additional confirmation of the release window or that the image is legitimate and not a fan creation.
This information follows a report from VG 24/7 early last week and screenshots that were carried by The Know. Namco Bandai indicated that it does not comment on rumors or speculation, so we'll have to sit tight and see what E3 brings.
With three outlets reporting three different pieces of information (two of them of the visual variety), it's looking more and more likely. Hope burns brighter for Souls fans, and I owe a personal apology to The Know for being overly aggressive and dismissive while urging caution about the rumors during previous coverage.
