With Splatoon arriving in a couple of weeks, Nintendo took over Santa Monica Pier with a real-life obstacle course inspired by the game. Donning helmets and special Splatoon t-shirts, celebrities and kids were able to attack the obstacle course and emerge covered in ink.

Among those in attendance were actor James Marsden, singer/model Alli Simpson, actress Willow Shields, and more. You can check out some shots of the obstacle course being put to use below.

In addition to the obstacle course, those in attendance were also able to get their hands on Splatoon. The ink-fest that is Splatoon launches on Wii U on May 29.
